My 18th Birthday
Well, today, April 2, I turn 18. I can't believe that I am now an adult. I don't feel any different and I don't look any different. The first thing I did on the way home from school was to buy a lottery ticket, just because I can. The numbers will be announced in 9 minutes and I can't wait. The lady at the gas station didn't even check my ID. I was disappointed, I wanted to be tested so that I could show that I was 18. I also renewed my Driver's License, registered for the draft, and set up a checking account for next year at Creighton. I have run out of things to do now that I am 18. The only things I can think of is being cigarettes (I don't smoke), buying porn (not needed), and going to a strip club (that would be hard to explain to the parental units). I guess those things can wait.

Since my last post I saw the movie Head of State with my friends. Chris Rock and Bernie Mack were great. This maybe the best political movie since Bob Roberts, one of the funniest movies of all time. I will be going to see Old School on Sunday with my friends to celebrate my birthday and my friend's birthday, which also happens to be today. It is a really strange coincidence because he is also named Brian. I would be afraid that wew were seperated at birth excpet he is Indian and I am Italian and Irish. Old School is very funny so I will see it again so my friends can enjoy it too. Also on Saturday I have a band contest at 5 o'clock at Bishop Lynch. Kind of puts a damper on the whole week.

My First Blog Post
This is my first post here on my own blog. I am really not sure of what to say at the moment. My name is Brian. I am a 17 year old highschool senior from Dallas, Texas. Next year I will be attending Creighton University and I plan on majoring in Journalism & Mass Communications with an emphasis on journalism. My high school is all guys so I can't wait to go to college and actually have members of the opposite sex in the same class. Tonight I watched the movie Pay It Forward with Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, and Halley Joel Osment. It was very entertaining although it is kind of sad. It is the type of movie that will have you thinking about your life and they way you are living it, so do not watch this movie if you are looking to have a good laugh and get away from the realities of war and all of the other problems of our world today. If anything Pay It Forward only puts this into a clearer perspective. Anyway I hope to get better at this as I go along and I will be checking out other blogspot blogs to see what makes a good blog tick. Thanks for reading.
